Yay! Happy Dance!

Am conflicted about this project. It was a refreshing change from scarves. However it does not suit my voluptuous figure ;0) So it is going to the Craft Sale in June.

FO Friday: Boy, have I been busy!

First things first! Here is the Jar for November!

The Jar Nov 1,2012

I started it last March.

Finally finished the Drop Stitch scarf

I seldom knit scarves anymore, but this one was a great take along project, and the yarn was awesome.

I am finally blocking the Oaklet Shawl

I made a few alterations to this pattern.

I like a more pointed centre line, so I continued the pattern to the centre and reversed it on the other side. If you are going to do this, watch that inc, and dec balance out, or it will not work.

I also purchased an interesting pattern from the LYS, “Turkish Bed socks” it can also be purchased from Ravelry.com

To enter this category: WIP Wrestling, Work on an existing project. You must not have worked on the project since May 15, 2012. (this certainly qualifies) The project should have been started by you. If someone else started the project, you should have done a substantial amount of work on it yourself before the May 15 cut off.
I started this December 1, 2011, my challenge is to get this done before August 12,2012. Embarassed to say, this is my own design, pattern is ready for publishing, object 90% done. My only excuse is no excuse lol

Oh and my Darling sweetheart bought me this

on Wednesday night, delivered today <Happy Dance>

My very own Gio-bike, it’s electric! Zero to 33 km per hr, it has a bike alarm, storage under the seat, glove box, and trunk.

FO Fri: Happy Victoria Day Weekend from Canada!

Victoria Day (in French: Fête de la Reine) is a federal Canadian public holiday celebrated on the last Monday before May 25, in honour of Queen Victoria‘s birthday. The date is also, simultaneously, that on which the current reigning Canadian sovereign‘s official birthday is recognized. It is sometimes informally considered as marking the beginning of the summer season in Canada. The holiday has been observed since before Canada was formed, originally falling on the sovereign’s actual birthday, and continues to be celebrated in various fashions across the country on the fixed date.

WIP Weds and Friday’s at Tami’s

Well I’m off for a long weekend, cya next week.

FO Friday: The best $25.00 I ever spent!

Remember the DKC Knitfrolic last year? I have plenty of reasons to pat myself on the back for purchasing Lace blocking Wires! I have used them over and over. I had my doubts at the time if I would use them very much, not anymore!  I’m glad my Hubby couldn’t find the camera, it wasn’t pretty.  I was crawling around the floor with my arthritis, and my darling tolerant and handsome assistant,(my son) as we pinned out the finished article! I am currently recovering in the lazyboy, while they return the crane to the rental agency lol.

I finally finished the Afternoon Tea Shawl, a pattern I can highly recommend. An interesting and altogether delightful project. This was one of the April Carry along Projects.

FO Friday: What is it Friday again?

Remember the spring forward on Sunday!

Hello all! Another day in the Blogpond! Well I have been beavering away trying to finish my good deed for a fellow Raveler (ana33). I usually don’t get involved in translation of patterns, it is hard to be helpful when you can speak only one langauge, can you guess which one? hummm :0)

Well I liked this shawl so much I decided that, if someone gave a general translation (from polish to english) I would write out the instructions and transcribe the charts then test knit. Not a really good picture, look here for a better one.
