January: More stuff she’s been making

Celeste Shawl
Project 2 – 2011: One Skein Shawl

“Celeste shawl” was my second effort this month. The pattern came from “Sock Yarn One Skein Wonders”  It is knit out of Austermann step sock yarn and felt rather rough while I was knitting, however it relaxed and softened somewhat after blocking. There are glass beads along the final few rows.  This shawl is about 16″ deep at the back and was a bit of a surprise as the picture in the book was not as detailed as one would have hoped.  My rating for this knitting experience is

3 kittens out of 5.
