Book: One-Skein Wonders: 101 Yarn-Shop Favourites

Dearest and I were out today and stopped in at Chapters for a look around.

Anyone who knows me well will nod when I say first stop knitting books!

As I already have, much to my delight “Sock Yarn One – Skein Wonders: 101 Patterns that go beyond socks!

edited by Judith Durant

I have already reported that “101 Designer One-Skein Wonders” and ” Luxury Yarn One-Skein Wonders”

didn’t impress me very much. The layout with pictures lumped together and sectioned off by yarn type put me off.

I have to admit I am rather particular about layout of books. I like clear photos not the artsy shots that are so popular

you cannot see the article properly.

Having said all this I succumbed again to the whole one-skein thing!

“One-Skein Wonders: 101 Yarn-Shop Favourites” suffers from all the things I commented on above.

However there is a little more in it that catches my fancy.

Still doesn’t hold a patch on “Sock Yarn One – Skein Wonders: 101 Patterns that go beyond socks!

I’ve been fortunate to win a few of those “One Skein” books and honestly, I’m not a big fan of the projects they have. 😦
