WIP Weds: June Carry-along project & Book Review

Good Morning people! I hope the day finds you happy and healthy.  MiL is finally home, and hopefully life will return to normal.

I have begun my June Carry-along Forum Project “Ankle socks”. I am rather pleased that these were chosen this month as they were in my queue already. The yarn “Tofuties” is new to me, the blend sounded interesting 50% Wool, 25% Soy, 22% Cotton, 3% other.

Not entirely happy with this yarn, it has a slinky feel, and I am not real impressed with the way it looks knit up, not very elastic, so it doesn’t have a lot of memory.

Meanwhile making good progress, details here.

Book Review:

50 Fabulous Knitted Lace Stitches by Rita Weiss

I like that the first 2 pages show all the patterns and their page numbers

The photos are large, in colour and clear, however they are not charted.

I rate this 64 pg book 4 out of 5

I wish I could knit socks! That is my goal one day. I tried to crochet socks, and it didn’t come out well at all. So I have a couple skeins of sock yarn, but i’m not even close to attempting it yet.

The socks are looking good, hope the wool turns out ok!
