WIP Wed: Buckets of rain in Bville

It’s been hot and raining all week, and I have been reading my Birthday Books and knitting. Thank goodness for A/C!

??????????????

Currently reading: Dear Mr Darcy by Amanda Grange

I am a big fan of Jane Austen. I know there is a lot of controversy about take offs on her books, yes some are good and some are not. I’ve read most of what’s out there. I rather like this one, it’s written in the form of letters between the various characters. Austen began writing Sense and  Sensibility in epistolary form then rewrote it as a novel.  I like this style of writing, sort of a short monologue for each character. I’ve read several novels in this format, it allows a greater voice for each character. Not for everyone but I am enjoying it :0)

I will write more on this if anyone is interested look in tags under

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen or Categories under Austentatious…

On to what you’ve come to see – Knitting!

Isla lace Pillowcase edge Another edging for another Wedding.

Harley is my electric Geobike, first time out every season is a nail biter for me, till I get used to him again. We made it all the way to knitting nite at the LYS on Wednesday night. We both arrived safe and sound. DS came and picked him up so I wouldn't have to drive home in the dark, with headlights ;0)

WIP Weds: Things are finally calming down

tami_wip

The craziness that has been my life is finally subsiding :0)

Our first local “Music in the Park”

Just before the sky dumped. 5 Mins later everyone hiding under shelter trying to stay dry :0)

Just before the sky dumped. 5 mins. later everyone hiding under shelter trying to stay dry :0)

Ok, so the sky opened and dropped Lake Ontario on our heads at intermission. I planned ahead rain poncho for camping, golf umbrella, fleece lined wind jacket = snug as a bug in a rug… till it was time to move to the car = soaked, oh well. What music there was, about 1 hrs worth, was great, I did get some knitting in, and the 50/50 draw was $155.00 not bad for a first night of the summer season. I hope this week will be dryer.

My teaser from Friday, a little further along.

Thought I needed one of these on a showery day. Have you figured out what it is?

Tomorrow morning, set up at the hall… Bedlam.

What I got done earlier this week!

Books: City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

Ok, I can’t tell you much about this book. DH came home from the Bookstore gave me this book, then disappeared and was seen reading it. We went to the local box store and he came home with the next 3 books; City of Ashes, City of Glass and City of Fallen Angels. I am looking forward to reading this if DS doesn’t snag it next. I shouldn’t complain as I have 5 or 6 books on the go already :0)

Well that’s all for now :0)
