WIP Wed: Buckets of rain in Bville

It’s been hot and raining all week, and I have been reading my Birthday Books and knitting. Thank goodness for A/C!

Currently reading: Dear Mr Darcy by Amanda Grange

I am a big fan of Jane Austen. I know there is a lot of controversy about take offs on her books, yes some are good and some are not. I’ve read most of what’s out there. I rather like this one, it’s written in the form of letters between the various characters. Austen began writing Sense and  Sensibility in epistolary form then rewrote it as a novel.  I like this style of writing, sort of a short monologue for each character. I’ve read several novels in this format, it allows a greater voice for each character. Not for everyone but I am enjoying it :0)

I will write more on this if anyone is interested look in tags under

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen or Categories under Austentatious…

On to what you’ve come to see – Knitting!

You’ve got me with the lace. I’ve never knit lace before and I love making special pillow cases… I’m going to be trying something new!

The pattern of the socks looks interesting. I like how the top and bottom are completely different. The colorways are beautiful on all your work.

Your cats look very relaxed. Mine seems to hate the AC … she sits at the door wanting to escape. Those piles of smiles socks are something else 🙂
