Lovely weather to get out and Hand spin with my friends.

We have been demonstrating Hand spinning at the Darlington Provincial Park Pioneer day on August long weekend for many years. Always fun to visit with each other and talk to the public about what we do. Then home to start my new project.

Got only 1/2 a square done today. We had a family event out of town and this is not really a travel project.

So I took All about love shawlette  to work on in the car.

A 2 1/2 hr drive, a little knitting and a little reading.

Update on DS: Things continue to heal. (for more info see previous posts) He is almost completely off pain killers now and sleeping soundly at night. His arm is still in a sling and will be for another week or two. He is not allowed to do anything with it for at least 6 weeks. He has been amazing really, going to work and not complaining about his shoulder at all. We are very proud of his attitude about his condition and his job. I do wish he would rest more, but at 22 yrs old I guess he has to do what he wants to do.

I love people who, like me, have several complex things on the go at once and not afraid to own up to them all AND start new things : )

How great that you posed your “All about Love” shawlette in a heart-shape 🙂 I didn’t know about Pioneer Days at Darlington … that’s not too far from me! Maybe I’ll pop by next year!
