WIP Weds: The Plan takes to the road

tami_wip

We spent Saturday, Sunday, and Monday in Ottawa, Canada, attending a wedding and generally touring around our countries’ capital.

Friday

Packing and family organizing day. Trying to remember everything. So no knitting.

Then The Plan goes on the road!

Saturday,  Sunday, and Monday

I decided that one project should go on the road with me, as I didn’t see that other than during the 6 hour drive each way. I thought I wasn’t going to get much work done on it.

All about love shawlette  Done!

Very happy with this, not only quick and easy, it is lovely and cushy.

These are larger than I usually make. The intended recipient has big feet :0)

Saturday: 6 hour drive, (it was a little farther than we thought) DS read “Little Fuzzy” by H Beam Piper. DH drove and I knit, the weather was perfect!

Got to Motel in Plantagenet, unloaded then drove back to Ottawa for an early supper. Toured around, went to the Byward Market, then drove around to see the Parliament buildings.

Our countries capital

Our countries capital

Supreme court, Christ Church Cathedral, and past 24 Sussex Dr, (The Prime Minister didn’t invite us in for tea)

On Sunday we enjoyed the Buffet Brunch at our motel. The went off in search of a Church. Took a bit of looking as this area is predominantly Catholic and francophone. The priest at the local Catholic church in Hawksbury directed us to Trinity Anglican. A lovely old church, built 10 yrs (1846) before St Georges Newcastle (1856). Later in the afternoon we went to the Wedding.

Very best wishes for a long and happy life together Kyle and Jenny.

Morning smile: On the way home we saw these signs along the road.

I guess they attempt to sprint across the road in an 80km zone. I suspect this is to let you know what the bump was that you just ran over lol

Monday we left well before dawn, got home at 11:00am. We dragged in the luggage, fed the furries and crashed in bed. I don’t remember much after that. DH was on call, so we needed to be at home… If I wasn’t so tired I’d kick him!

Tuesday and Wednesday

Totally wrecked from the weekend, did absolutely nothing.
