FO Friday: Progress

knit art 4

Today promises to be the first nice day in what has been a long cold winter in these parts. Over the last weeks we have been having below 20c, we are really looking forward to +3c and sunny. I don’t think my woolliz will need to be packed away yet, but it does give us hope that spring is around the corner.

This seems to be the year for Babies. I just added another expectant Mother to my list. That make 4 I am knitting for. Looks like 3 boys and an unknown. Next week I am going to have to make a start as they are due starting in May. I was thinking that I should design some stroller blankets…

Left over Cowl Chart 1&2 (14 1/2″)

???????????

Meanwhile I have made a good start on my cowl. I am substituting Viking Baby Ull for the larger background areas. I figured it would be softer on the neck than sock yarn.

Hill Walking Socks – That have been on the back burner

These have been sitting around for a while. I moved them to a magic loop and now they are motoring along. I'm doing and inserted heel.

I splurged with my LYS Yarn Challenge winnings and purchased Knitters Pride Karbonz 40cm circs for magic looping my socks. Totally awesome for magic loop. the points are not so sharp that you are poking yourself when adjusting the needle and the cord is flexible enough to be easy to knit with. They cost slightly more but well worth it.

I love the leftover cowl. Funny enough, it makes me think of some pottery bowls some of the people in my open studio have been making. Bright stripes with patterns in each stripe. They are beautiful…and so is your cowl. Great work.

A large basket, and my Ravelry wip project page. I work a little on this and a little on that. This is the shortest my list has been in a while. Things go on and slowly fall off.

I’m going to enjoy your leftover cowl progress. I’m not ready for that much colorwork yet so…I’m living vicariously through your knitting.
