Frolicking good time!

Exhausted

What an exciting and exhausting weekend!

Bonnie and I headed out bright and early on our DKC Knit Frolic Adventure to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Bonnie, my partner in crime.

First I have to say as a knitter, if you’re ever in Toronto at this time of year… This is an absolutely all knitters must attend event.  Send the Family off to see the Ontario Science Centre around the corner and put your shopping shoes on, and take a big bag!!!

We arrived as it opened at 9:00am, the line was long but moved very fast.

Lots of people and even more goodies!

Sick in bed :0(

Sick gromit

Sorry to report, but there is very little to report.

I have been sick with Allergies/Head cold, not sure which since Easter Sunday.

Sick enough that dust is forming on my knitting basket…Horror!

I am dosing with Coffee, reading materials and Antihistamines.

Think I am past the worst of it.

I have to get better for the Dkc Knit Frolic on Saturday!

Hope to be able to report improvement on Friday.

Oh and I found another delightful pattern in my virtual travels

WIP Wednesday- Gingko Crescent Shawl

Second winter or Sprinter, good one after 20c then down to -4c in April ;0)

because wool fixes everything

Allo! We’re in the midst of second winter round these parts, and I’m pleased to report spring didn’t fool me this year…I left enough woolies out to keep us warm until spring comes back! I’m just that good, lol! The kids were not pleased to put their snow pants back on, but alas, that’s sprinter for you.

Right now I’m working on my oldest son’s teacher end-of-year present. She’s a wonderful teacher and we’ve really enjoyed having her this year. Unfortunately for us, she’s having a baby and leaving mid-May. My poor uterus is very jealous of her soon snuggling a newborn. *sigh* I ❤ babies.
I thought at first to knit her a little layette, but then I remembered how much as a new mom I appreciate a few thoughtful things just for me. After diving into my pattern stash, I came up with Gingko crescent shawl and just…

What a delightful surprise, I came home to find that DH had fixed up “Harley” my ebike. He needed a little attention and minor repairs. I don’t drive anymore so it’s wonderful to be able to get around on my own. I see more trips to the LYS ;0)

Bunny Cubes!

I guess this is a reblogging day!

Oh and Elefante by Susan B. Anderson :0)

Joey's House

Time for a new toy pattern!  From the slightly odd minds at joey’s house, let me introduce you to

BUNNY CUBES!

Bunny Cubes!

Bitty little bunnies who like to hang around in your sugar bowl and have afternoon tea.  And hey!  They’re calorie free!  In fact they’re almost yarn free – you don’t even need 10 grams to whip up one of these little guys. Strangely addictive they will soon be all over your house – the ones that guests don’t try to take home that is.

Available now for the low, low price of FREE!  Just click: bunny cubes colour to download the pattern for yourself.  Prefer to store it in your Ravelry library?  No problem it;s available there too; just CLICK!  Also available through Ravelry is a super plain version, for those of you who don’t want to use up all your pretty printer ink – same clicky as above.

Inspirational Monday – yarn storage!

Storage, always something to consider if you’re a fibreholic ;0)

because wool fixes everything

Alright ladies, let’s be frank. Most of us probably have a rather well developed yarn stash. It’s ok, I understand. You’re amongst friends here, no judgement. I might have just found a skein tucked up in an old flower vase above the fridge. It happens to the best of us. There might be a ball of wool in my pillowcasemy bra drawermy scrapbooking bag a brown paper bag on my couch since I went to the yarn store today. Oupsies! Lol…see? It’s ok, I understand.

So let’s have a wee look at how some others have organized their stashes. At least parts if them, I can’t believe people can fit their whole stash in one picture!

It’s that cute? easy makes me happy has got a little selection of her stash displayed!

Of course, repurposing a wine cabinet is an option…
