Fair fun!

Well I had a great fair this year!

We demonstrated Handspinning and Knitting on Sunday.

This is last years pic as I forgot my camera. Gwen was ill and couldn't come and it was nice and warm, so no sweaters. Otherwise everything is the same ;0)

WIP Weds: Knit night & The curse continues

????????????????????????????

I hosted the Knit Nite Girlz Summer Edition last Wednesday, (10 plus 2 infants). What a great group! I particularly want to thank SH for finally getting the fire started, DH for making his delicious Oatmeal Apricot Cranberry Cookies and DS for setting up and putting everything away. By the Bye our knitting smells like smoke, thank goodness it’s washable.

My smokey Butterfly’s shawl

Trying to get this as close to the end of the ball of Marble chunky as possible.

Glamshell shawl Blocked

Glamshell shawl 67x45"

Glamshell shawl 67×45″

Remember that shawl with the curse. It continues! Soaked it out in the wash, so I got a little distracted… what started as soak ended up being jean wash cycle, OH NOOOS! Rescued it from mechanical malling. Pinned it out on the kitchen table so I could keep and eye on it. Ok I’m human, so I needed to step away to the WC… one furry felon hanging from a hanging thread at the cast off, the other laying in the middle needing it like there was no tomorrow. Contemplating violin strings!

Wonderful Weds: Blocking the life out of it?

knit art 6 (1)

Hello, well I am hosting the summer edition of Knit Night for our local knitting group. So needless to say I am looking at my house in despair. Can I tidy up this place sufficiently not to be totally embarrassed.  DH, my hero, got up early and lowed/whipper snipped the garden and set up the fire pit. If the weather remains nice, that’s where we will be, if not it’s the livingroom. DS is busy making Oatmeal Apricot/Cranberry Cookies for the girls as he calls them.

Good news!

I finished Glamshell shawl

Actually Buttermere needs blocking too. Jack has offered to help...

Fab Friday: Another Butterflies Shawl

Friday

Things are getting a little dull around here.  In an effort to perk things up I am going to start my Friday posts with a teezer, a quote or a picture. The first person to identify where or what it is gets… Drum roll please, a pattern from my Ravelry Shop! Ya, I know cool ah :0)

The Game Question #2: Who said this?

Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school.

Last Fridays winner was chrisknits, the right answer was “Peter Pan” :0)

Please contact me with your choice from my Ravelry shop.

Butterflies Shawl in Bulky My design (version 2)

This pattern is now available at my Ravelry shop for a very reasonable consideration ;0)
