WIP Weds: Things are finally calming down

tami_wip

The craziness that has been my life is finally subsiding :0)

Our first local “Music in the Park”

Just before the sky dumped. 5 Mins later everyone hiding under shelter trying to stay dry :0)

Just before the sky dumped. 5 mins. later everyone hiding under shelter trying to stay dry :0)

Ok, so the sky opened and dropped Lake Ontario on our heads at intermission. I planned ahead rain poncho for camping, golf umbrella, fleece lined wind jacket = snug as a bug in a rug… till it was time to move to the car = soaked, oh well. What music there was, about 1 hrs worth, was great, I did get some knitting in, and the 50/50 draw was $155.00 not bad for a first night of the summer season. I hope this week will be dryer.

My teaser from Friday, a little further along.

Thought I needed one of these on a showery day. Have you figured out what it is?

WIP Weds: Adding a few to the list…

tami_wip

After last weeks craziness, I am hoping for a more restful week… The weather here in Ontario is lovely, and sunny. Good for sitting outside with a cuppa and knitting, while listening to Bach!

Need to move the fire pit and bring down the coffee table. My wireless works out here too!

Found on ravelry: OctoCrush Hat by Ellen Taylor. Nice summer sun hat

I have been enjoying reading other people’s blogs, I’m going to start linking to some you might enjoy too :0)

Blog visiting: Of Yarny Notions: Tales of a Nerdy knitter

Another useful tutorial: A Sock Surgeon’s Afterthought Heel Technique I frequently use this technique, or knit in a waste yarn so there are no ends to darn in!

This weeks musical interlude: The Best of Bach (this is a whole album)

And last but not least what am I reading?

The Golden Thread: A Readers Journey Through the Great Books            by Bruce Meyer

A wonderful overview of the seminal works of Western literature and why we still read them. I’ve read this several times and still find new insights. Just finished the Bible and am working on Homer’s Odyssey.

Highly recommend this to literature lovers.
