Inspirational Monday – yarn storage!

Storage, always something to consider if you’re a fibreholic ;0)

because wool fixes everything

Alright ladies, let’s be frank. Most of us probably have a rather well developed yarn stash. It’s ok, I understand. You’re amongst friends here, no judgement. I might have just found a skein tucked up in an old flower vase above the fridge. It happens to the best of us. There might be a ball of wool in my pillowcasemy bra drawermy scrapbooking bag a brown paper bag on my couch since I went to the yarn store today. Oupsies! Lol…see? It’s ok, I understand.

So let’s have a wee look at how some others have organized their stashes. At least parts if them, I can’t believe people can fit their whole stash in one picture!

Outdoor cooking: Such a good idea!

Photo: Cooking on a log. :) Please share. www.homesteadingsurvivalism.com
Cut the log evenly on both sides so it stands up freely. Then cut it into vertical segments most of the way down the length of the log. Stuff in some newspaper into the cracks as deep as you can get it, leaving a wick at the bottom, and light it up.
That's all there is to it—the log burns from the inside out, and you have a simple, handmade stove....TA DA ~~ Tonya O'Tinger prostaff. (Women Camp Too)

Recipe: Sore Throat remedy

Great recipe for sore throats, a little in boiling water or tea.

Sliced Lemon, Ginger (peeled and shaved), honey

Sterile Jar

Will last for 2 to 3 months, store in fridge.

Getting ready for flu season!

This would make a good Christmas Gift too.

Wise Old Wives!

Ok, Those Old Wives knew a few things…

  • For bug bites rub a little vinegar and it will stop the itch
  • Use a fertizier spreader to spread Tide laundry detergent on your grass to get rid of sinch bugs
  • Use Brown paper and an iron to get candle wax out of fabrics and carpet
  • Mint tea is good for your tummy and is decaffinated.
  • Too much sun, rub a lime on the skin, repeat before you go to bed.
  • Cayenne Pepper will make the worst cuts and scrapes stop bleeding, with only a momentary sting.

If you can add anything to this list please put it in comments

I’ll add other brilliant ideas as I find them :0)
